A t LS we believe that young children, particularly those between three to eight years of age, learn best through doing. Abstract thoughts and concepts are difficult for them to grasp because they primarily learn about the world around them by experiencing it through their senses. For this reason we focus science lessons around things that they can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell so that they are continually immersed in science as they discover all sorts of new and different things about the world around them, how things work, and about themselves and others. Our students are taught to observe record, analyse, hypothesize, research and apply knowledge.


T he social studies in the early childhood/elementary years are crucial if we expect the young people of this nation to become active, responsible citizens for maintaining the democratic values upon which this nation was established. Unless children acquire the foundations of knowledge, attitudes, and skills in social studies in the important elementary years, it is unlikely that teachers in the junior and senior high schools will be successful in preparing effective citizens for the 21st century. At LS students are taught social studies with emphasis on different perspectives and an understanding of cultural and geographical factors affecting events.


 I n our increasingly global world, parents realize that their kids will benefit from knowing more than one language. Exposing your child to a second language will help him/her learn about other cultures. Research has shown that bilinguals tend to be more creative thinkers than those who speak one language, and one study suggests that their brain functions may stay sharper as they age.We believe that the best way for a child to learn to understand a new language is for him to hear people speaking it fluently, if he's exposed to conversations, he'll begin to pick up the sounds and the natural accent. Thus, at LS, English and Urdu are taught through activities and by encouraging reading and usage.


O ur Math curriculum is extensive, covering topics ranging from simple counting for pre-schoolers, to decimals, fractions, and division etc. for higher grade elementary school children.We introduce math topics in a variety of creative and challenging ways so as to achieve mastery of the fundamentals. At LS we provide extensive problem solving assignments that enrich your child's learning experience, resulting in a thorough and deep understanding of the concepts.


T Students learn to enjoy the use of computers with age-relevant programmes especially chosen to interest them and promote their understanding of computers at the same time reinforcing other subjects.


A t the Junior level there is a system of continuous on-going evaluation. The child's class work, regularity of homework, project work and class participation are all taken into account when working out the student’s grade.
